I just wanted to remind everyone that I will not be back on live journal until at least 9 May. Currently I'm working on two research papers, one on the historical analysis of workplace violence (25 pages) and another one on hazardous materials(10 pages), both of which are due in two weeks. However I do promise once I return I will finish my entries from my trip to Florida before writing about "current happenings".

In the meanwhile if everyone could, please leave me a comment with your name, address, email address, and telephone number. I'm trying to work on a database so that when I'm on/get back from vacation I can send postcards, keychains, etc. to people. Comments are of course screened.

Other than that I miss you all very much, and I promise to get caught up everyone's journals ASAP.

stolen from gloryfades06

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
The only thing that I really did in 2004 that I had never done before was probably miss as many classes as I did. It’s honestly not something that I’m proud of, but just probably one of the few things that I’ve managed to accomplish as of late.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I honestly can’t even remember what my new years resolutions were from last year, although I’m sure one of them included something about going to the gym. So I guess not. As for making some for next year I’m sure at somepoint I’ll sit down and think about some.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My friend Talia, who I used to be in JROTC with gave birth to a baby.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My Grandfather died I believe a year to the date that my grandmother had her heart attack, so as you can imgaine that was pretty hard.

5. What countries did you visit?
No new countries this year, however I did take a nice trip up to Alaska.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Something that I’d like to have in 2005 that I lacked in 2004 is a better idea of who I am again. Again, ever since I’ve moved down to kentucky I’ve really lost who I am, and I’ve changed certain things about me not for the better but the worse. Something that I also need to find is maturity and how to deal with insecurites, because honestly I don’t think I can have another relationship until I do.

7. What dates from 2004 will forever be etched in your memory, and why?
I think there are honestly like 3 or 4 dates that will be etched in my memorary from this past year. First, obviously the day my grandfather passed away (october 4th?). Second, the day my mother took the job and moved to Alaska (end of march). And finally, the day that Marr and I broke up completely.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Biggest achievement? I think out of all my problems that I’ve been suffering for the past couple years, especially down here in kentucky is finding what I would call achievement. Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of having the second highest convertion rate at B&N, but I don’t know. I think it’s because I have the mentallity that you can always do things better.

9. What was your biggest failure?
My biggest faliure, geez where would you like to start with this one.? I think I’ve had many faliures this past year, not only in my presonal life but in me as well. My biggest is probably letting my insecurites like I’ve said time and time again interrupt and destroy my relationship. That of course counts not only in my personal life but again me as well. Also, I think finally seeing what a lot of people had been saying about how I’m selfish, and that’s something that I’m really going to have to work hard to change. One final faliure was not showing someone that I loved them as much as they loved me. Oh, and my inabilitly to keep my promises.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
The only illness that I’m suffering right now is from a slightly bad stomach ulcer. Although, the fact that my body is very fatigued from the stress I’ve constantly put myself under isn’t probably helping much either.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I think the best or most awesome thing that I bought was my CSI DVD collection, which includes all 4 seasons.

12.Whose behavior merited celebration?
Marr’s behavior, especially with putting up with a lot of shit that I pulled with her, and her abilitly to see past what I had/was doing.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Honestly, my own. I did a lot of stupid stuff this year and god only knows if I could forgive myself for the things that I did to people.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Probably to DVD’s, although chinese food is starting to catch up pretty quickly. What, I’m a chinese food addict?

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The fact that I got to finally see my mother after being away from her for about 6 months.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
The one song that will always remind me of 2004 is Caught in The Rain by Revis. The whole song is about realizing things when it’s too late, and that’s really what I’ve done all year long.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? In between.
ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner, although I’m trying to gain some muscle weight now.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer, have to love having two jobs.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I really wish I had payed more attentention to the way I was acting to certain people, and how I was making promises that I would later break.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
There’s honestly no shortage of things that I did less of. But if you want to get specific, and I’m openly willing to criticze things that I’ve done too, we can start with my numerous acts of immaturity and selfishleness to Marr. Also, I made a shit load of promises that I didn’t keep, and that’s another thing that I’m not really proud of right now because it’s really kicking me in my ass. I guess the only positive note is that I realize and know what I’ve done. Now I’ve gotta change who I am.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Right now I honestly have no idea how I will be spending Christmas. My father has been/will be in Kentucky for the next couple weeks, however if something doesn’t work out with him one of my adopted families from B&N said they’d love to have me over since they know I don’t have family here.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
I’ve been in love for the past couple years, and way before 2004. And, in all honesty I will always always be in love with one person deep in my heart.

23. How many one-night stands?
I honestly can’t do one night stands, I want a meaningful relationship with a women. Not just a hook up at the club, have sex, and a go your separate ways. It’s not who I am.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
CSI, CSI:Miami, and CSI:NY,Family Guy, and Futurama

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No, I honestly don’t ever really hate people. I think everyone is unqie in their own way, and that every person can teach you something.

26. What was the best book you read?
Well, I only had time to read my college text books this semester since I have 15 of them. But I think the most interesting was my book for Perspectives on Crime and Deliquncy, along with my 9/11 Comission book.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
My greatest musical discoverey? Mindless Self Indulgence, New Found Glory, Midtown, Revis, Misfits, Dashboard Confessional, The Who, Lesiem, and a couple others which escape my head right now.

28. What did you want and get?
I honestly don’t know if I got anything that I wanted this year, maybe I didn’t deserve too or right now I just don’t see it. Maybe I’ll get stuff that I want next year, but that all depends on me and what I make of my life.

29. What did you want and not get?
I think the one thing that I wanted that I didn’t get/may never get is the chance to show someone how much that really mean to me. But I think in a way it goes to show something to me in that I have to value the time that I do get with people, and that you have to treat each moment like it’s the last one because you never know it may be. Also, I honestly wish I could have spent more time around my mother, she really means a lot to me, and I’m really thankful for everything that she’s done for me.

30. Did you make any new friends this year?
Yeah, I did actually make a couple new friends this past semester. Although, I’m going to have to make more since a couple of them will be moving on to the next stage of life.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I believe this was the first year that I worked on my birthday, which was odd to say the least. Course what is probably even stranger is that I’ll probably work again on my birthday this year, even though I’m turning 21.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
There’s honestly not just one thing in the world that would have made this year more immeasurable satifying. The fact that I’m starting to realize all the bad qualities that I posses makes me happy though because I realize them, and because of that I can start to change them. But seeing my friends and being able to talk to them did make me very happy.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
I honestly haven’t changed my personal fashion in concept in so many years…it’s honestly not even funny any more. I’m still rocking out the khakis pants or jeans with t-shirts, dragon shirts, and stuff like that. I don’t really have a life that I need to get dressed up at all.

34. What kept you sane?
There were honestly a couple things that kept me sane. Most importantly my close friends and my family. Besides that, playing America’s Army and watching the History channel and learning as much as I did was pretty cool.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
The one celebrity that I fancied I guess was Jenna Jameson, course that’s only because I had a chance to meet her and she’s a porn star.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The only politicial issue that drove me insane this year was the whole gay marriage deal. The government in my mind doesn’t have any right to say who can and can not get married, and even for that matter define what a marriage is.

37. Who did you miss?
I miss a lot of people, my friends and family to be a little bit more vague.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
The best new person I met this year was John, course that’s because he was from New Jersey and I had an awesome time joking around with him in the middle of class about Dr Kraska’s stories.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Out of all my years of life on this planet I’ve probably learned the most important life lessons. The first life lesson is cherish the time you have with people, you honestly have no idea when life is going to through you a curve ball and they could be gone. Second, separate your insecurites and immaturies from your relationship. They will honestly cost you everything in the long run. Third, keep your promises. Once you lose trust with someone, or someone loses trust in you it’s the hardest thing in the world to get back.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
“I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears”
Hoobastank “The Reason”

I promise a real update tomorrow afternoon!
